OpenHistory is an open-source macOS app that quietly records foreground app activity and permitted accessibility context to build a private, on-device work timeline. It generates concise daily summaries of completed tasks, decisions, and unfinished work using on-device or user-selected cloud inference. A local MCP server lets AI agents like ChatGPT Desktop and Claude Cowork query your history using natural language. No screenshots, keystrokes, or microphone data are captured, and all data stays on your Mac by default.
