BrowserOS neo is a free, open-source, Chromium-based desktop browser built for AI agents to control rather than humans. It runs locally on macOS or Windows, importing your existing browser sessions so agents like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Cursor can perform authenticated web tasks without headless sandboxes or cloud browsers. It connects to any MCP-compatible AI tool with one click, supports running multiple agents in parallel, and delivers pages as compact structured snapshots to keep token usage low. All session history, screenshots, and replays are stored on-device and never uploaded. Previously known as BrowserClaw, it is developed by Felafax, Inc., a Y Combinator company, and licensed under AGPL-3.0.
